Shelby Ladd, PA-C

Shelby joined the SpecOrtho team in the fall of 2023. She is a highly motivated and adaptable Physician Assistant with a passion for patient education. Her clinical experiences in general surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and dermatology form a foundation of medical knowledge that she uses on a daily basis. She plays a vital role in assisting our orthopaedic surgeons in clinic and in the operating room.

While pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Tampa, Shelby was a member of the Division II Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Beach Volleyball Team. She co-founded and became Vice President of the University of Tampa Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She later earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Charleston Southern University.

Shelby resides in Charlotte with her husband who is also a Physician Assistant. In her free time she enjoys various outdoor pursuits and spending time with her husband and her dog.
